Other views of the house

The Bethlehem Star quilt was made by my mom. It was the first of that design that she made and she had Cinnamon, Jasmin and me work on it along side her. It fits quite nicely in the guest room.

Christmas Clean Up

Cinnamon's eye for design helped me to reposition the furniture in the living room. We are very pleased with the new look and might just have to keep the Christmas tree up!

Not done yet!

Shad insisted that we replace that dirty carpet on the stairs. It was quite an ordeal to get it done in time for the party. Although it wasn't my first choice of carpet, it got installed before the party. It is very nice and will last us for years.

Now for the clean up

The new space looks wonderful so it was time to make the rest of the house fit in. Clean up is hard work but the benefits are rewarding. Of course hosting the Rainbow School Christmas party gave us a deadline that kept us focused. We have uncluttered our space and hope to bring that same focus to our living.

Did I mention laundry?

Oh yeah, did we talk about the laundry room? This space is at the east end of the room with a treetop view of the sunrise. Shad did the negotiation on a new efficient washer and dryer. Todd would be pleased with his persistance with the salesman to get the best price and then 2 price adjustments within the 30 days after purchase. Doing the laundry is no longer avoided until the pile tumbles over.

Completed mid-November

We finally got our bedroom back with the wonderful addition. The work crews have been gone since mid-November and we have enjoyed the new space so much.

Who knew a closet could bring such joy!!
