The electrician has been busy installing all the light boxes and wiring.

The shingles will keep us dry.

The roofers wouldn't leave until it was all done today.

And the inside is starting to take shape. You are looking at the through the bathroom on the left and the closet on the right.

What a difference a day makes!

Now we have a roof over our head.

Monday Aug 4 - Hottest Day of the Year!

An early start for the hottest day of the year.

At least we have a view.

Note the two windows overlooking the green forest of our back lawn.

Well this is what the room looks like when the furniture is removed. Notice the fine detail of that cedar plank ceiling. Hours and hours of careful layout and hammering by Shad and Deena in their younger days.

Only a few hours of destruction tear it all away!

So it begins.

Major construction took place this week at the Smith household. It has been many months in the planning mode, but now the work begins.
